Bristol centre Luke Eves, son of club legend Derek, has been signed on a senior contract until 2009. The 17-year-old was capped at England under-18 level last season and is part of the England junior national academy.
"Luke is a promising young star who has been sought after by several clubs so I'm pleased that he's decided to stay," said Bristol head coach Richard Hill.
"I'm delighted to see a Bristol player coming through. It's a special situation with him being Derek's son."
Derek Eves, a back-row forward, made his Bristol debut in the 1985/86 season and made 278 appearances for the club.
He captained the side for five successive seasons although he missed out on a full England cap.
