Bath winger Matt Banahan has spoken of his delight after scoring a hat-trick of tries on his England Saxons debut. Banahan scored three tries as England beat the USA 64-10 in Ottawa to launch their Churchill Cup campaign with a convincing win. It was a great team performance and it was good to be part of it for my first game," Banahan said. There's so much talent in the squad and it was great to be playing alongside such skilful players." The 21-year-old added: "George Skivington showed a few times in the game that he's got great pace and a great step on him. "And I think we showed we've got some really exciting back three players, not just the starting three with Ben Foden and Tom Biggs, but also with Nick Abendanon and others." England are next in action on Saturday when they face Ireland A in Toronto and Banahan is predicting a tougher challenge. We'll be expecting a tougher game and we'll be aiming for something higher and to set ourselves new challenges, explained the Bath winger.
