Bell rejoined the club at the start of the 2003-04 season |
Bath props David Barnes and Duncan Bell have handed the club a double boost by both signing new contracts that will keep them at The Rec until 2010. Bell, 32, who recently made his 100th appearance for Bath, started with the club as a schoolboy and had spells at Sale and Pontypridd before returning.
Barnes, 30, joined in 2000 from Harlequins and has made over 150 appearances for the club.
"There was never any doubt I'd stay - Bath's my club now," said Barnes.
Forwards coach Mark Bakewell was delighted at the news the duo would be staying.
"Duncan's contribution to the club since 2003 has been paramount to the success of Bath," he said.
"I think Barnsey is also someone who represents the ethos of Bath Rugby: he is extremely hard-working, talented, and a real team man."
