Jerry Flannery limps off at the end of Munster's game against Ulster |
Jerry Flannery looks likely to miss the start of the Six Nations Championship after being ruled out for up to six weeks with a torn calf muscle. A scan revealed the extent of the injury which he sustained after coming on as a second half substitute for Munster against Ulster last week. The hooker had just returned to action after a calf injury to his other leg. Flannery will miss rounds five and six of the Heineken Cup, plus the Six Nations games against Italy and France. Meanwhile Flannery's Ireland team-mate Cian Healy has signed a new deal which will seem him continue to play in Ireland for another two seasons up to 2013.
