Ireland A lost 34-12 to England Saxons in their Barclays Churchill Cup game at Fletcher's Field, Toronto, on Saturday. England led 17-12 at half-time and extended their lead to take victory. Keith Earls scored two tries in the first half for Ireland, who made four changes after beating the USA, with Jonathan Sexton adding a conversion. The Saxons scored six tries through Matthew Banahan (2), Steffon Armitage, Anthony Allen, Nick Abendanon and Ugo Monye, with two conversions. Ryan Lamb and Alex Clarke kicked the conversions. Gary Brown, Sean Cronin, Donnacha Ryan and David Pollock all came into Allen Clarke's side for this game. Ireland A play their next fixture next Saturday, while England go on to meet Scotland A in the final.
