The Ulsterman, who fractured a finger in the 32-17 win over Namibia at the weekend, should be available to face the French on 21 September.
"Andrew should be fine for France," said assistant coach Niall O'Donovan.
Leinster's Shane Horgan replaces Trimble in the only change to the line-up for the Georgia game.
"Unless we pick up any fresh injuries against Georgia on Saturday, we should have a fully fit squad for France," added O'Donovan.
