Eddie O'Sullivan was far from happy with Ireland's scrappy display |
Coach Eddie O'Sullivan admitted Ireland had made a poor start to the World Cup after seeing them beat Namibia 32-17. "It was pretty poor, probably our worst performance for a long time," he said.
"I thought we would have nerves at the start and make some mistakes but we actually started rather well and put some points on the board.
"As the game went on we lost our shape and made individual errors. It was very disappointing and we will have to take a long look at ourselves after this."
Ireland's next game is on Saturday against Georgia and O'Sullivan warned: "If we play like that against Georgia it could be a worse night.
"Georgia will put up a better challenge than Namibia. If we go and reproduce that performance against Georgia we will be in trouble."
