Welsh hooker Miles joins Ulster

Ulster assistant coach Steve Williams coached Pertemps Bees

Ulster have signed former Wales U21 Matt Miles from English Division One side Pertemp Bees in a one-year deal.

The 26-year-old former Northampton Saints hooker will replace Ulster's new summer signing Neil Hanna.

Hanna is out for the season after suffering a cruciate knee injury in a training ground accident.

Ulster's new assistant coach Steve Williams played a major role in obtaining Miles' signature, having coached the Birmingham side.

Ulster prop Tom Court was on loan to the Bees last season.
