Ireland suffered their second loss in the Women's Rugby World Cup when they went down 24-11 to the USA in Edmonton, Canada on Monday. The Irish girls were 14-0 down early in the game with Phaidra Knight and Erin Carter touching down with Kristin Baja converting.
Ulster prop Gillian McAllister scored a try while Grace Davitt knocked over two penalties as Ireland fought back.
But a try apiece by Baja and Knight wrapped up the game for the Americans.
Ireland lost their opening game 43-0 to France and finish their group games against South Africa on Friday.
