Daniel Riordan scored four tries in Connacht's 49-0 win |
Connacht continued their encouraging pre-season form by scoring seven tries in a 49-0 win over Rotherham Titans at Sheffield on Friday. Full-back Daniel Riordan got four of the tries with the others coming from winger Conor McPhillips and forwards John Muldoon and Andrew Farley.
All seven tries were converted, five by David Slemen and two by Paul Warwick.
The result is a boost for Connacht who start their Magners League campaign away to Borders on 1 September.
Michael Bradley's side scored five tries in the 35-29 defeat by Narbonne in France last Saturday night.
Connacht will be captained this season by Ireland A hooker John Fogarty.
The Rotherham-based Titans, coached by former Ballymena and Belfast Harlequins mentor Andre Bester, also face Ulster at Ravenhill on 25 August.
