Work on the Lansdowne Road redevelopment will start next year |
Ulster will play in the last ever match at the 'old' Lansdowne Road later this year before redevelopment work at the stadium begins. Mark McCall's side will face Leinster in the Magners League on New Year's Eve at Lansdowne (1400 GMT).
The stadium is scheduled to close on 31 December so that work can start on the redevelopment of the Dublin venue.
The project to transform the ground into a 50,000 all-seater stadium was given planning permission last month.
The last international match will be Ireland's game against the Pacific Islands on 26 November.
The redevelopment of the famous old venue at Ballsbridge is expected to start in 2007 and is likely to take two years to complete.
