Ulster coach Mark McCall was delighted the way his side stormed back to defeat Llanelli Scarlets 30-13 in the Celtic League at Ravenhill on Friday night. "We are chuffed to get that victory," he said. "To come back from 13-3 down in the first half and score 27 unanswered points was very satisfying.
"We made a number of mistakes and let them into the game. Andy Maxwell's try just at half-time changed everything.
"We are still in the hunt for Celtic League honours with eight games left."
Ulster are still in fourth place, but have now drawn away from the mid-table teams.
McCall, however, is happy the way his younger and reserve players have played over the past couple of games.
"For the second game in a row we have played with our international players away, and I'm delighted with the way they have shaped up."
The Scarlets finished the game with only 14 men after international Dafydd Jones was red-carded in the 66th minute following a incident in front of the main stand.
However, it looked very much a case of mistaken identity by officials with prop Martyn Madden the player who allegedly stamped on Ulster lock Matt McCullough.
