Irish to play hosts in U21 pool
Ireland have been drawn to play hosts France, Argentina and Georgia in the pool stages of the Under-21 World Cup in 2006.

The tournament will take place in Clermont-Ferrand and Vichy in the Auvergne region of France on 9-25 June.

"It's a good draw as at least we will be playing a team (France) we are already familiar with," said Irish U21 coach Mark McDermott.

The ninth-seeded Irish face the French in Issoire on the opening day.
