Munster will be without Ronan O'Gara for their final two Heineken Cup pool matches after the Ireland fly-half broke a bone in his right hand. The 27-year-old is expected to be out for three weeks after picking up the injury in Munster's 19-13 Celtic League win over Leinster on Saturday.
O'Gara had a scan on Sunday that confirmed the extent of the injury.
Munster currently top Heineken Cup pool four with games against the Ospreys and Harlequins to come.
O'Gara will have his hand in a cast for three weeks, and is due to have it removed before Munster play Llanelli on 28 January.
"The plan is to be back for the Llanelli game and if that goes OK I'd hope to be available for selection for the Six Nations the next week," O'Gara said.
"I could probably get away without a cast but they reckon that by stabilising it the chances of healing quicker will be greater."
