Ulster scored four second half tries to continue an impressive home record and bolster their challenge for the Celtic League crown. Paddy Wallace, Neil McMillan, Matt Sexton and Scott Young all got touchdowns in a 36-13 victory to send Ulster back to the top of the table.
Second half replacement Wallace also landed two conversions and fly-half Adam Larkin landed four penalties.
Replacement Frank Murphy scored a late try for Munster.
Larkin's four penalties and two from Munster's Mossie Lawlor saw the score at 12-6, three minutes into the second half.
Then just before the hour mark Ulster sparked into life, scoring two tries in as many minutes.
The first arrived when Lawlor lost the ball and Paul Steinmetz led the charge upfield, offloading to Shane Stewart who found replacement Wallace on his shoulder to run in from 30 metres.
McMillan then showed great pace to charge over after 61 minutes and Wallace added the conversion to put the home side 24-6 ahead.
The lead was quickly extended lead when replacement hooker Sexton got on the back of a maul froma line-out for a third try, again converted by Wallace.
What must surely be a candidate for the try of the season saw Ulster book a bonus point.
A Munster attack broke down, and Young snaffled the ball and combined with Wallace and Matt Mustchin to finish the move off himself at the other end of the field.
Replacement scrum half-Murphy's 79th-minute try was mere consolation for Munster.
