1429 BST: Spencer Bishop, Taunton
Not one pub in Taunton was showing the game! Not one!!! If it was the England football team they would all be open. Does no one in Somerset realise how important this tour is? How can the County Town (Where Andy Robinson is from) not realise that a huge amount of people want to watch these games. There was masses of us roaming the streets looking for somewhere to watch it. Even the so called sports bar wasn't showing it! How can the sport progress if people don't support it!!!
1411 BST: Hywel Green, Hamilton
Watched the game but the atmosphere was lacking. None of the Lions seemed to know what they're supposed to be doing. Everyone was happy for the Maoris to win, but also a little shocked because they normally expect the Lions to put up a fight.
1400 BST: Stephen Carty, Manila
Great performance by the Maoris. Owen, Martyn Williams and Thompson were the big losers and will have their work cut out to get back into Test contention. Sheridan was awesome, indiscretion notwithstanding and is now favourite for a test berth.
1334 BST: Gareth Chilcott, Radio Five Live
It was disappointing. The management put a massive pack on the field to grind the Maori down and once that didn't happen you had a feeling that the Maori pace and ball-handling skills would come to the fore, they were magnificent. What really disappoints me is that some of our senior pros really did not perform. Woodward has a huge headache but where is he going to go? 1326 BST: Adrian Dale, Indonesia
Bad, dour old-style play; handling and kicking atrocious, for this side there is no way back. After a brief flourish in the World Cup the northern game has slipped back into the mire.
1253 BST: Stu, Auckland
Work is going to be unbearable on Monday and to be honest I have nothing to offer in retaliation to the Kiwi onslaught that awaits me!! To be honest the same could be said of the Lions against the NZ Maori, we had no answer to their passion and style, even 54 stone of forwards didn't help our cause. Sir Clive must have at least learnt how not to play rugby against the southern hemisphere sides!!!! MORE PASSION PLEASE.
1224 BST: Kevin MacGowan, Germany
I had wanted to get up and get to a pub where I could have watched this game, I'm glad I overslept and saved the money. Before the match everyone within the Lions organisation pointed out that the game would be won in the front five. It is quite clear that with Mal and Lol gone, we may still pack considerable physical clout, but leadership that could lift this performance to test level I seriously question.
1218 BST: Neil McKenna
Woodward is trying to protect players like Wilkinson too much. He should have been allowed to play today.
1210 BST: Ram, Chamonix
Dawson - too many quick taps from penalties we should have kicked for position. You're not the player you were in South Africa. Thompson - still can't throw in, it doesn't matter what you do round the park if you can't do the basics. Well done Maori, you took your chances and played aggressively with heart.
1203 BST: Simon Thomas, London
Too many forwards in the backline, not clearing out at the rucks (Martyn is on is own). No Platform for Stephen Jones to release the excellent backs. Total Rugby - Total Rubbish!!! Stop playing this English style, we will get hammered!! PS why cant any of the hookers throw straight!!
1143 BST: Steve Gordon, former All Black, Radio Five Live
The Maori raised their game to a new level. We could talk about some old fashioned values like passion and desire that came through. The Lions were disappointing at times that they could not get continuity and could not get their phase play going. I think Lions fans now may realise what a huge loss Lawrence Dallaglio was in the first game of the tour. Woodward wanted to build his pack around such a strong number eight like that and it has thrown his plans into disarray a little bit. 1139 BST: Tim, Auckland
Gibbes & Holah surely have played their way into the AB's side. The bad news for the Lions is that the AB's are going to be at a much higher level still.
1127 BST: Geoff, London
I agree with the comment about the Wellington game. I think there is a better 15 sitting on the sideline that will play next Saturday. All that happened was some people played themselves out of contention.
1056 BST: Ian Robertson, Radio Five Live
It is very disappointing for the Lions to lose but what is much more worrying is the way that the Lions pack hardly won any ball in the second half. This was a shadow Test pack and now they have to build a new pack and the first Test is in a fortnight. 1044 BST: Allan, Glasgow
Maori played well but the Lions were disappointing and it may be a long way back from here. Rugby aside, the Lions' Song is inane drivel.
1040 BST: Andrew Jones, Swansea
Excellent committed performance from the Maori, full of passion. Woeful effort by Lions front five. The Lions style of play is well behind the times, this style will not beat the AB's.
1032 BST: David Allan, New Zealand
Mistakes were made by the Lions but this was not the Test side. The Lions will be stronger as a result of this loss. Watch out Wellington, that result will be a better indication of how the test series will go.
1029 BST: Mairzy, England
Shocking. Forwards hanging out in the back line, never getting the ball wide and never committing numbers to the breakdown. What chance have we got of winning even one Test match??!!
1021 BST: Jon Ham, Plymouth
The Lions need to understand southern hemisphere rugby rules and play to the spirit of the game. There was too much physical aggression when it should have been channelled into better rugby. The Maori deserved to win. Well done on a well motivated performance.
1010 BST: Owain Evans, Wales
The Lions were outplayed and need to pick their heads up.
1008 BST: Dave, Dunedin
What a game. I wouldn't have liked to be one of those Maori players on the field, they are certainly super supermen. Maori pride won them this game.
1007 BST: Craig Chapman, London
Lets face it, the Lions don't have what it takes to beat the Kiwis. Lets just hope that they don't embarrass themselves. Can't wait for all the gripes and excuses after this loss to the NZ Maoris.
1006 BST: Trevor, London
Well done Maori on a good win. I wonder how long it will be before Woodward blames the ref for the loss.
1005 BST: Sam Williams, Bournemouth
Oh no! Looks like I'll be hiding from my Kiwi friends on Monday! Well Played the Maori!
0800 BST: AL Ive, Wellington
C'mon Lions, you better do us proud or I will have to hide in my hostel tonight! There are only two Lions supporters and 70 Kiwis!
0747 BST: Daniel Barnes, Hamilton
I moved from Dover, England to Hamilton last year. I arrived here Christmas Eve and the city hasn't had an atmosphere quite like it in the six months I have been here. All our fans are behaving well, cramming the pubs and filling the main street (Victoria street) with colour. It makes me proud to be British!! C'mon Lions!!
0744 BST: Gareth Chilcott, Radio Five Live
For the Lions, to get two wins out of two games in a country like New Zealand is fantastic but this is the big one. You have the Maori with all their passion, tradition, pride and talent against a Lions side which are monsters! This is a big game for Stephen Jones, if he plays well I think he could edge out Jonny Wilkinson for the 10 position. He is on trial. 0732 BST: Ian Robertson, Radio Five Live
It should be a cracking match. It will be the Lions toughest match before the first Test and the Maori team is stocked with very good players, their back row will be fantastically powerful. But the Lions have picked their strongest side of the tour so far and it will be disappointing if they do not win. I hope they win by 10 points or so to really get the tour up and running. 0722 BST: Steven Graham, Saitama, Japan
A solid victory for the Lions against the Maori would finally give the All Blacks something to think/worry about! Come on Lions!!
0701 BST: Undercover Kiwi
If breaking the hoodoo of never beating the Lions wasn't enough motivation for New Zealand Maori then the impending departure of two of their favourite sons may provide the added spur they need. Not only is Carlos Spencer about to play his final match in this country, albeit off the bench, before he starts his career at Northampton, but coach Matt Te Pou is also stepping down. He is arguably the most successful coach at international level with his 10-year tenure yielding wins over most first-rate rugby nations. That elusive Lions scalp would cap things off perfectly. 0659 BST: Rowena Everson, Singapore
One vital element missing from the Lions line up is a good hairdo - surely I can't be the only one to notice that Greenwood and Moody's games have deteriorated since they let their hair go. Let's get a Mohican on the pitch and the Lions will romp home.
0653 BST: Fin, Hobart, Australia
How come the referee for the Lions vs NZ Maoris match is a Kiwi?
0632 BST: Sir Clive Woodward, Radio Five Live
New Zealand Maori will be the toughest game of the three games so far and the starting team must step up to the mark. I am delighted with what has happened so far, on and off the pitch and I am really looking forward to this game. It will be a fantastic occasion and I am happy that we have a strong team out there. 0601 BST: Ajay, Singapore
I'm psyched for this match! Very interested to see how a few key positions play out, especially the front row and 9-10 combination. The feeling you get is indescribable, its brilliant! Singapore is behind the Lions!
0558 BST: Eddy, Hamilton
2 hrs from showdown and YES the NZ Maoris are hungry as hell for a win over the Lions and their motivation is ripe.
0552 BST: Joe Earnest, Georgia
Take your victories now Lions, 0-3 against the mighty All Blacks!
0530 BST: Adamski, Irish in Edinburgh
5:30 am and I've finally given up on trying to sleep - way too excited. Now searching desperately for any articles or info I haven't already read at least 100 times. Can we set up a Lions insomnia support group!?
0434 BST: Andy Jones, Daytona Beach Florida
I'm a Welshman, 54 years in Wales and nine months in Daytona Beach, Florida. I really miss my rugby and must thank all you guys on here for all the news, and send good wishes to all players and supporters out in NZ. If anyone could tell me where I might be able to see any of the tour games in my area especially the Tests I would be eternally grateful.
