Sharks scrum-half Pienaar can also play at fly-half |
South Africa have added the uncapped pair of scrum-half Ruan Pienaar and prop Brendan Botha to their squad for the rest of the Tri-Nations. Centre Jean de Villiers and lock Danie Rossouw have also been recalled after injury, and fly-half Andre Pretorius earns his first call-up of the season.
De Villiers has returned to action after bruising his ribs, while Rossouw has shaken off a hamstring knock.
The Springboks face the All Blacks twice and Australia once.
South Africa are still searching for their first win of this year's Tri-Nations tournament and have lost their last four Tests.
