Australia win the first kickable penalty after Keven Mealamu is penalised at the ruck and Stirling Mortlock slots the three points.

4 mins: A promising New Zealand attack on the right is spoiled when Jerry Collins spills the ball.

2 mins: The Wallabies' early plan seems to be to run wide at every opportunity but Rocky Elsom is penalised for not staying on his feet and New Zealand clear.

1110: Australia kick off and New Zealand captain Richie McCaw takes the ball cleanly. But the All Blacks stray offside from a clearance kick and Australia receive the first penalty, opting for touch on 22 on their right.

1105: The All Blacks perform their Haka, opting for the traditional version over the controversial Kapa O Pango, which features an apparent "throat-slitting gesture". The Wallabies then go into a series of defensive drills, delaying the kick off and taking the sting out of New Zealand's momentum.

1055: New Zealand are led out by captain Richie McCaw and immediately go into a huddle. Australia emerge late to tumultuous cheers before the teams line up for the anthems - God Defend New Zealand and Advance Australia Fair.
