Avramovic touched down in the 58th and 64th minutes for Argentina |
Argentina booked their place at the 2007 rugby World Cup finals in France with a 26-0 victory over Uruguay. New Worcester signing Miguel Avramovic scored two tries and Federico Todeschini converted both and added four penalties in Buenos Aires.
Argentina will play in Pool D alongside France, Ireland, a third European team and the top African qualifier.
Uruguay face Chile on 22 July with the winner advancing to a play-off against either Canada or the United States.
Argentina have been ever-presents in the five previous World Cups while Uruguay have played in the last two.
England, Australia, New Zealand, France, South Africa, Wales, Ireland and Scotland were all given automatic places in the finals as they were all quarter-finalists in 2003.
