Heenan hurt his shoulder in last month's Test against England |
Australia flanker Daniel Heenan has been ruled out for the rest of the season because of a shoulder injury. Heenan damaged his left shoulder in last month's first Test against England and faces reconstructive surgery.
Australia team doctor Warren McDonald said Heenan would be sidelined for up to six months.
"Daniel had a reconstruction on the same shoulder in 2004 and that reconstruction has broken down," McDonald said.
"If all goes well with his rehabilitation, Daniel will be back in full training by December, in time for the (2007) Super 14 pre-season."
