Williams grabs a consolation try against Argentina in the second Test |
Shane Williams says Wales' youngsters have learned valuable lessons from the two Test defeats in Argentina. Saturday's record 45-27 slump in Buenos Aires followed last week's 27-25 loss in Puerto Madryn.
James Hook, Ian Evans, Alun Wyn Jones, Richard Hibbard and Rhys Thomas all made their Wales debuts in the series.
"It was time for the youngsters to learn what hard, physical, big international rugby is all about," said Wales wing Williams.
"We certainly learned a lesson there... and such an encounter, as we had on Saturday and last Sunday can only make a player better."

Wales suffered two sin-binnings in each match, with Alix Popham and Gavin Thomas yellow-carded in the first Test, while Evans and Hook earned the referee's ire in the second.
The Pumas had half as many players sin-binned, with their more street-wise players often able to slow Wales possession while keeping just the right side of the law.
"Obviously some of the youngsters have got to learn a little bit more about discipline at this level," Williams added.
"It is a step up again from regional rugby and this exposure will make them better players.
"It will certainly give them confidence for the next international games, and the games they play for their regions and clubs."
