Worsley will still be on England's tour of Australia |
Flanker Joe Worsley and winger Paul Sackey have both been forced to withdraw from England's game against the Barbarians because of injury. Worsley is replaced by Under-21 flanker James Haskell, but his club Wasps said he would be clear of a back injury in time for England's Australia tour.
London Irish's Delon Armitage comes in for Sackey, who suffered a toe injury.
Sackey, meanwhile, could now miss out on England's second-string side's Churchill Cup campaign in the summer.
Players from Leicester Tigers and Sale Sharks are unavailable for the Barbarians game because their clubs are in the Guinness Premiership final at Twickenham the day before.
But England coach Andy Robinson has selected 18 players who are also going on England's tour of Australia.
There are also six players from the England Saxons party for the Churchill Cup in Edmonton.
Pat Sanderson will lead England against the Baa-Baas at Twickenham |
"We will be selecting our strongest available side," said Robinson.
"Although we will be without 12 players from Leicester and Sale we have been able to draw on the England Saxons squad and this will also give those players an opportunity to impress in training and potentially at Twickenham."
The Churchill Cup kicks off on Saturday 3 June when England's second string - re-named England Saxons - face Scotland A in Toronto, before meeting Canada seven days later in the same city.
The teams then move to Edmonton on 17 June where the winner of England, Scotland and Canada's pool faces the top ranked side from the other group, which consists of Ireland, USA and the New Zealand Maori.
Saxons captain David Barnes, the Bath prop, said: "This is a group of players who really want to prove themselves on this tour.
"After winning the Churchill Cup last year, we are obviously going out there to retain that title, and this is also an ideal opportunity to press for full England selection ahead of the World Cup."
