England have only won eight games out of 16 under Robinson

Pressure is mounting on Robinson after England finished fourth in the Six Nations for the second year in a row.

"I have a contract and I intend to honour it - I am passionate about this.

"I believe England are going in the right direction. Until I'm told otherwise, I'm England coach, end of story," he insisted.

"There is a full review going on, and we will review what we've done.

"There will be a lot of soul-searching from everyone, and we will make it clear where we are going after that.

"I want to look at the last eight games England have played and really look at the players who have delivered and been consistent in their performance, and then make decisions.

"We are in this position, and there is only one way to go, and that's forward. I am confident in the team we have, and the fact we can move forward."

England, who lost at home to Ireland on Saturday, have won just eight of the 16 matches since Robinson took charge and the coach believes fatigue is playing a part in England's poor displays.

With players having to cope with the day-in, day-out grind of the Premiership as well as international duty Robinson feels they are becoming jaded.

"You've just got to look at the accumulation effect on the players, and what is happening to these guys. For me, our performances have levelled out because of the structure we have," he said.

"All I have been asking for is to give these guys the opportunity to be at their best, physically and mentally.

"We have to get a grip of our structure, whether I am involved or if another person comes in.

"I have been working closely with the clubs, but there are some tough decisions that need to be made, and I just hope myself and the directors of rugby can sort it out for next season to move forward.
