Nieto will be replaced in the front row by Martin Castrogiovanni |
Italy coach Pierre Berbizier has made three changes to his team for Saturday's Six Nations clash against Scotland in Rome. Viadana prop Carlos Nieto is out with a knee injury and his place is taken by Martin Castrogiovanni.
Montpellier full-back Cristian Stoica returns to the side with Ezio Galon making way while hooker Fabio Ongaro is preferred to Carlo Festuccia.
Italy will avoid the wooden spoon if they win and France defeat Wales.
Nieto will be sidelined for more than a month after damaging knee ligaments in the draw with Wales at the Millennium Stadium last weekend.
He was replaced half an hour into Saturday's 18-18 stalemate in Cardiff.
