I haven't been able to sleep properly since Saturday's defeat to Scotland.
All that night, all day yesterday and all last night my mind was stewing and I couldn't wait to get back out on the training field on Monday.
I was quite jealous of the Wasps guys (Lawrence Dallaglio, Simon Shaw and Tom Voyce) who got involved in Sunday's win over Sale.
 | You have to give Scotland a lot of credit, especially their defence |
There is nothing better than banishing the demons from your head and getting involved in another game of rugby straightaway. We were genuinely gutted in the dressing room after Saturday's game.
I don't want to take anything away from Scotland but I thought we shot ourselves in the foot with the amount of possession we had.
It was one of those days where everyone made individual, elementary errors which we don't usually make.
I was guilty of it, as were a lot of people; I don't think a single one of us played particularly well.
If everyone makes just two errors each that is 30 times we are giving the ball away, and that is what happened.
You have to be humble and give Scotland a lot of credit, especially their defence and the way they turned the ball over - they played the referee at the breakdown a lot better than we did.
But it was very disappointing that we didn't score a try with all the possesion we had.
 | We are not far off being a very good team |
We played some good rugby throughout the game but we would get 30 or 40 yards upfield and turn the ball over, and that put the pressure back on us. Playing good rugby is about getting a blend between being direct and creating space.
We were eating up chunks of space but couldn't hold on to the ball long enough to exert the pressure we needed.
You want to go back and rewind time but you can't do that. You have to learn from it and use all the frustration and heartache the next time you play.
The Grand Slam has gone now but we still have a chance of winning the Six Nations.
If we go over to Paris and win well there, then that will help people forget the Scotland game. We still want to win the championship and maybe win the Grand Slam next year.
'Cozza' (captain Martin Corry) made a valid point - we didn't put Scotland to the sword at the weekend but we played some great rugby.
We are not far off being a very good team - if we can work on our execution and cut out the individual turnovers, that will be a very positive scenario. A lot of us now have another very big game to focus on - Leicester v Wasps in the Powergen Cup semi-final this Saturday.
People ask if it is difficult to play against people who have been on your side the week before, but we just get on with the job.
I get enough abuse from people like 'Goodey' (Leicester fly-half Andy Goode) when we are with England so you get used to it and don't let it faze you.
There should be a fantastic atmosphere at the Millennium Stadium and hopefully it will be a good game of rugby as well as a very physical encounter.
We have had some fairly good scraps over the years and I am sure this will be no different.
