Paul O'Connoll has a strained shoulder joint |
Ireland's Paul O'Connell still remains a doubt for the RBS Six Nations clash with Wales in Dublin on 26 February. A scan on a shoulder showed that the lock had a strained AC-joint. A further assessment will be made next week.
Meanwhile, Brian O'Driscoll will be fit for the game having been giving the all-clear over a hamstring strain.
Marcus Horan, Mick O'Driscoll, Matt McCullough, Anthony Foley, Neil Best, Denis Hickie, Girvan Dempsey and Barry Murphy have been added to the squad.
"Brian will be fit for the Wales clash," said Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan after his side lost 43-31 to France.
"He had a tight hamstring and was exhausted so we took the precaution of taking him off before the end of the match."
There is a readymade replacement for O'Connell in Donncha O'Callaghan, who scored a try in the French game.
O'Sullivan had been under pressure coming into the French match after several poor performances in the last Six Nations and autumn tests.
The Irish coach lamented a series of "schoolboy errors" after the defeat in Paris.
"I don't think France did that much except pick up the scraps that we gave them," he said.
"The players did not go out to make those mistakes but you do not expect that many in one game."
Wales have already seen their hopes of retaining the Grand Slam disappear after being thrashed by England last weekend while Ireland beat Italy before losing to France.
