Leamy will travel to London on Wednesday to face charges |
Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll has been cleared of stamping but Denis Leamy has been cited following the Six Nations win over Italy on Saturday. O'Driscoll has not been cited for an alleged stamp during the 26-16 win and is free to face France this weekend.
Leamy faces a hearing in London this Wednesday over an allegation of use of the boot on Italy's Paul Griffen.
Citing commissioner Rob Flockhart will take more time to consider the alleged biting of Simon Easterby's arm.
Flockhart wants the additional time to establish whether there is a case to answer.
New IRB rules permit further investigation to identify the player concerned in circumstances where a player has not been cited within the time period specified, in this case 50 hours after the match kicked off.
Easterby has a mark on his arm and knows the Italian player who allegedly bit him, but has not made his name public.
Meanwhile, Irish coach O'Sullivan has called up eight players to his squad in preparations for the trip to Paris.
Forwards Reggie Corrigan, Mick O'Driscoll, Anthony Foley, and Neil Best are joined by backs Denis Hickie, Girvan Dempsey, John Kelly and Barry Murphy.
