Geordan Murphy: A poor start characterised by his impersonation of a swing door when last line of defence for Conrad Smith try, but soon improved.

Mark Cueto: Kept Joe Rokocoko quiet on Tuesday and did the same against Sitiveni Sivivatu - with help from the officials! Little chance to shine in attack.

Gareth Thomas: Came off his sick bed to lead the Lions, but enthusiasm to play is not enough at this level and the skipper was a pale shadow of himself.

Will Greenwood: A mercurial codebreaker at his best, but those days are behind him and could not unlock All Blacks in a ponderous Lions midfield.

Josh Lewsey: A jack of all trades and the master of all. Has played across the back three in the Tests and maintained his high standards on the left wing.

Stephen Jones: Good kicking game and composed, but woefully one-dimensional in comparison to the effervescent Luke McAlister opposite him on debut.

Dwayne Peel: At fault for second try but it was a rare error from a young player who has improved immeasurably as the series has progressed.

Gethin Jenkins: Harsh call to be dragged off after another good game in the tight and the loose where his speed helped put team on the front foot early.

Shane Byrne: If only. Roundly and rightly criticised after first Test but found his men at the line-out to help secure set-piece parity two weeks too late.

Julian White: Showed strength and character, but having come south with the reputation of a destructive scrummager failed again to deliver.

Paul O'Connell: Belatedly showed his best, giving real ballast to the scrum and showing athletic brilliance in the line-out. Better late than never.

Donncha O'Callaghan: All his efforts in the tight were overshadowed by his early greed in the loose when failing to score after ignoring four-man overlap.

Simon Easterby: Excellent again in the line-out but did not have the gas to make the all-game impact of All Black flankers in open play opposite him.

Lewis Moody: Even without Richie McCaw on the park was unable to disrupt All Black midfield but ran all night and deservedly on the end of pushover try.

Ryan Jones: Lost the dynamic edge of his earlier tour performances but full of energy and endeavour and it will not spoil a memorable tour.

Fresh legs were key in helping the forwards turn pressure into points with their second-half try.

Matt Dawson (rep. Peel on 49 mins.):
Has the nous to be a nuisance around the fringes and did not disappoint against Justin Marshall.

Shane Horgan (rep. Thomas on 51 mins.):
Not one to take a step back in midfield and also solid when moved to the wing - particularly in defence.

Ronan O'Gara (rep. Murphy on 66 mins.):
Entry caused backline re-shuffle but took on the mantle at 10 and stood firm in defence.

Martin Corry (rep. R Jones on 68 mins.):
The game was up by the time he came on and introduction was the start of raft of late token subs.

Gordon Bulloch (rep. Byrne on 70 mins.):
After 230 minutes of Test rugby a Scot was involved and his country rejoiced for 10 minutes.
