Tindall and Noon tipped to start
Mike Tindall and Jamie Noon wrap up a tackler against Australia

Former England international Jeremy Guscott expects England to start with Mike Tindall and Jamie Noon as their centres against Wales at Twickenham.

Coach Andy Robinson selected the pair for two of England's three November internationals and is likely to do so again for Saturday's Six Nations match.

"While not being massively exciting, Robinson has to give them both more of a chance," Guscott told BBC Sport.

"Any other centre pairing would make a mockery of his previous selections."

Six Nations champions Wales will be without first choice centres Gavin Henson and Tom Shanklin because of injury, handing Tindall and Noon the ideal opportunity to exploit a weakened Welsh midfield.

"If they both play at their best then they stand a chance of making a good impression," said Guscott.

"Noon has played well for England and has not let his country down. Tindall we know can play better."
