Richie McCaw says his New Zealand pack has to improve if they are to match the Lions in Saturday's second Test. The All Blacks forwards totally dominated their opponents in the 21-3 first Test win but McCaw says there is no complacency in the squad.
"We went well but they will be hurting after losing and it's going to be a bigger challenge for us," he said.
"We are going to have to be better than last week to achieve the win."
The 24-year-old lived up to his world-class billing in Saturday's opener as he helped the All Blacks outplay the Lions in an area the tourists were expected to dominate.

The lineout was their main success and with the aggressive displays from locks Chris Jack and Ali Williams, the Lions completely fell apart - losing eight of their own throws.
There is only one change in the forwards for this weekend with the injured Carl Hayman out through injury and McCaw says consistency in selection has been key for his side.
"The same guys are performing," McCaw added. "In the past after the France game last November it would have been a whole new set-up.
"Everything would have been new and we would have had to start again whereas we have been able to build on that a little bit for this series.
"We want to aim to be the best and whether you ever get there or not you want to keep on improving and that's the attitude we as an eight have had."
And in another warning to the Lions, McCaw says that his side are totally focused on sealing the three-match series this weekend.
"We're just focusing on this one game. We realise just going out there and turning up is not going to do it," he said.
"This game is a big game for us and that's the way we've got to look at it. If we can do that then that's when the rewards will come.
"I'm sure the Lions would have learned a lot from last week and will get things sorted.
"They've had a few games together now and in that regard I don't think it will be an issue. They will be fizzing up for this weekend I'm sure.
"This game will be right up there with the series on the line and it's why you play rugby, for days like this."
