Carl Hayman has been ruled out of the New Zealand team for the second Test against the British and Irish Lions. The tighthead prop, who has an infected toe, will be replaced by Greg Somerville, while Campbell Johnstone moves on to the bench.
"Carl's been on a course of antibiotics to deal with an infection in his foot," said All Blacks coach Graham Henry.
"It's a slow process. We were hopeful he'd come right in time to play, but that's not the case."
Somerville came off the bench during the 21-3 victory over the Lions in the first Test in Christchurch, while Johnstone made his Test debut as a replacement in New Zealand's 91-0 thrashing of Fiji earlier this month.
