Alan Quinlan takes Simon Easterby's place the Irish squad
Munster flanker Alan Quinlan is to join Ireland's tour of Japan following Simon Easterby's call-up to the British and Irish Lions squad.

Lions head coach Sir Clive Woodward sent for Easterby after former England captain Lawrence Dallaglio fractured an ankle against Bay of Plenty.

Quinlan, who has 21 caps, flew out with the tour party on Saturday afternoon from Shannon airport.

Ireland are due to play Japan in two Tests on 12 and 19 June.
