Eden Park has been home to sport since 1900 and hosted its first rugby international - between New Zealand and South Africa - in 1925. The 50,000-seater stadium first hosted the Lions there five years later, the All Blacks winning 15-10.
Auckland Rugby has been housed there since 1925, arguably the best provincial side in All Black history.
The Blues have enjoyed Super 12 success and have beaten the Lions five times, including wins in 1983 and 1993.
