 Townsend sails through test |
Gregor Townsend has made his comeback in a Dubai sevens tournament, giving Scotland coach Frank Hadden a boost. The 32-year-old had not played since breaking his ankle in Celtic League action for Border Reivers in September.
Hadden hopes to include Townsend in his squad for the Six Nations, which starts for Scotland in February with France.
"It was tiring and hot out there but I enjoyed it. I was pleased to get back on the pitch though after a frustrating spell," said Townsend.
