Lamont on the Scotland charge |
Sean Lamont has asked supporters to be patient as Scotland prepare for New Zealand at Murrayfield on Saturday. After defeat by Argentina and the win over Samoa, Lamont is convinced that Scotland can prove they are getting better against the mighty All Blacks.
Lamont said: "To win would be amazing but we are still quite a young team and it takes time for cohesion to come in.
"But the more time you spend with each other the better you get. We are on the up getting wins which is what we need."
After the agression of the Samoans, Lamont is primed for the All Blacks.
"The Samoans are pure power-houses and you cannot take anything away from them.
"We know the All Blacks work along the same lines - physicality around the breakdown, coming at you and you have to make your tackles.
"With their speed, they are going to be breaking through. They are also going for a 'grand slam', ending with us."
