Marks out of 10 for England's players against New Zealand at Twickenham.Josh Lewsey - 7: Another assured performance from the Wasps man, showing trademark bravery under the high ball and a willing runner in attack. Mark Cueto - 8: Provided much-needed flair as England pushed forward. Also calm under pressure and tidied up well with some neat kicking. Jamie Noon - 7: The Newcastle centre was always in the thick of it and never afraid to pile in with some heavy tackles as the All Blacks poured forward. Mike Tindall - 7: Struggled early on but made amends with his tireless running and immense tackling, although passing let him down at times. Ben Cohen - 7: Prevented an All Blacks try with a great tackle on Umaga in the first half. More prominent as the game went on with several charges in the dying minutes. Charlie Hodgson - 7: An assured kicking performance aside from one missed penalty chance, and stood up well to some late hits, but couldn't find a way through. Matt Dawson - 6: A fantastic charge-down early on led to England's try but his influence waned thereafter despite plenty of industry . Andrew Sheridan - 6: A reasonable performance and got stuck in in the loose but not the same influence as against Australia, with honours about even at scrum-time. Steve Thompson - 7: Prone to the odd error in the line-out but still a good display and worked hard throughout. One bullocking run from deep but otherwise well contained. Phil Vickery - 6: Never short of passion and desire but briefly unsettled by Woodcock in the scrum, and still on the way back to top form. Steve Borthwick - 7: A steady display in the line-out, and establishing himself as a force in the Test arena with greater prominence in tight exchanges. Danny Grewcock - 7: An early off-the-ball infringement might have cost his side points but thereafter got through a mountain of work in the engine room. Pat Sanderson - 8: The Worcester man was a tireless workhorse all afternoon. One dazzling step and run down the left flank just before half-time also showed his flair. Lewis Moody - 5: An erratic performance. Looked sluggish with New Zealand's opening try. Tackling at times lacked bite and gave away two needless penalties. Martin Corry - 8: Sterling captain's effort. Early reward with his side's try and didn't stop driving forward. Unlucky to finish on the losing side.
Replacements: Matt Stevens (replaced Vickery, 74 mins) - 5: Not on long enough to make an impression as England tried desperately to overhaul the deficit.
