To beat any Australian side by 10 points is a major achievement, but Martin Corry quickly put things in perspective at the end of the game.

When the final whistle blew, he got us together in a huddle and said he was really pleased with our performance and that we had worked really hard for the last two weeks.

But then he told us we must keep our feet on the ground and work even harder next week because we are coming up against a superior opponent in New Zealand.

The win over Australia was a good initial step in our bid to be the best.

Our forwards were absolutely immense and Andy Sheridan, on his first start for England, was colossal. His physical power is frightening sometimes.

Australia had an inexperienced front five and we took advantage. And what was really pleasing was the way we closed the game out, exerting pressure on them and making the right decisions when it counted.

There has been a great feeling in the squad during the last couple of weeks. The boys have thrived off each other and are willing to work really hard for each other.

If you have got that, you have got a chance of really going places.

Yet we have got to remember that Australia were missing a lot of players and were still in a position to come back at us until that Mark Cueto try killed them off.

We need to mix our game more to beat the All Blacks.

I really can't see us having the same amount of possession next week as we did against Australia, so we need to work on our execution and what we're doing with the pill.

The All Blacks are undoubtedly the best side in the world and are setting the benchmark for the rest of us.

But they are coming to our home and we are desperate to put in a good performance.

If we play at our very best we can win. If we don't we will come second.
