Wales Women face World Cup wait
An 11-6 defeat against Ireland at Cardiff Arms Park has left Wales' women relying on an International Rugby Board invitation to make the 2006 World Cup.

Only the top five Six Nations finishers are guaranteed a spot at the prestigious tournament and Ireland's win kept them above Wales in the table.

A late Lynne Cantwell try proved the decisive score in a tense, error-strewn game at the Arms Park.

It was the first ever win for Ireland's women over their Welsh counterparts.
