Clockwatch: England 39-7 Italy
All the latest action as England beat Italy 39-7 at Twickenham.

80 mins: Substitute flanker Andy Hazell sees a gap in the Italian defence and picks the ball up and runs in for the simple try. Leicester's Andy Goode strokes over the conversion. The score seals a comprehensive if not totally convincing win. England 39-7 Italy

80 mins: Italy's defence looks ragged and Balshaw wins the race to a forward kick. Without a blue shirt in sight, England look to have their sixth try but somehow Balshaw fails to pick up the ball.

79 mins: Masi makes a rare foray into the England half but yet again there is no spark behind the scrum and the attack dies.

73 mins: The game loses a bit of momentum after a raft of substitutions but hooker Andy Titterrell, who is on for Thompson, makes a lightening break only for Italy to snuff out the attack.

63 mins: Italy have run out of ideas and are pegged back yet again when they are penalised for hands in the ruck. England go for touch and another great pass from Hodgson releases Lewsey who feeds Cueto for his hat-trick. Hodgson misses again. England 32-7 Italy.

60 mins: From the resulting scrum, England immediately look to use their backs and Balshaw glides into the line for the simple score. Hodgson however, cannot kick the two points. England 27-7 Italy

59 mins: A quick tap penalty from Dawson puts England close to the Italian line. The ball is spread wide and England look certain to score but Italy are superb in defence.

57 mins: Referee Mark Lawrence rules that there should be uncontested scrums after Italian lose both of their hookers through injury.

52 mins: England seem to have more zip after the introduction of scrum-half Matt Dawson and they look to have scored another try when Lewsey crosses but the touch judge sees a forward pass.

45 mins: A good drive from Italy puts them in good field position, they keep their composure and Troncon escapes a poor Graham Rowntree tackle for a try which Peens converts. England 22-7 Italy

43 mins: Italy start the half brightly but an attack is halted when Peens is caught for holding onto the ball.

40 mins: The home side have lots of possession as the half closes and after some superb passing, Cueto runs in for his second in the corner but Hodgson misses the conversion. England 22-0 Italy

37 mins: The mistake hands England the initiative, who launch another attack. Hodgson fires a long pass to hooker Steve Thompson who barges his way over. Hodgson adds the extras. England 17-0 Italy

36 mins: Another poor mistake from Peens who fires the ball straight out of play from the drop out.

34 mins: Italian prop Andrea Lo Cicero gives away a penalty by playing the ball on the floor but Hodgson misses the kick at goal.

33 mins: With the try-line in sight, England look to put points on the board and after good pick ups from Corry and Ben Kay, the ball is spread wide but Olly Barkley is penalised for holding onto the ball in the tackle.

29 mins: Italy, who are having plenty of ball, steal a line-out and pile forward but with little incision out wide they cannot break through the England defence.

27 mins: Italy gain confidence from an extensive spell of pressure but Lewis Moody does some good work on the floor to end it.

24 mins: Danny Grewcock takes the ball on for England but he finds himself isolated and gives away the penalty for holding on. Gert Peens, Italy's third kicker of the Six Nations so far, goes for goal but his attempt comes off the upright.

17 mins: Italy enjoy are rare bit of possession but scrum-half Alessandro Troncon kicks straight out of play.

15 mins: England are deep into Italian territory but can't convert the pressure into further points.

9 mins: Balshaw, who has had a new lease of life since moving to Leeds, continues his great start with another break which allows Cueto - showing no signs of his earlier injury - to cross. Hodgson converts. England 10-0 Italy

6 mins: Italy are penalised for interfering at the line-out and Charlie Hodgson slots over the penalty to settle his nerves. England 3-0 Italy

2 mins: England look to attack right from the off with full-back Iain Balshaw making the break but they lose the ball when scrum-half Harry Ellis delivers a forward pass.

1601 GMT: At a dry and windy Twickenham, Italy kick-off and new England skipper Martin Corry comfortably takes the catch.

1557 GMT: England suffer a scare when Sale wing Mark Cueto injures his knee in training but he comes out with the rest of the squad for the national anthems.

England and Italy are both still searching for their first win in this season's Six Nations.

Should the world champions lose at home, it will mark their worst run of form at Twickenham for more than 30 years.

Iain Balshaw has been recalled for the injured Jason Robinson, while Italy have suffered a raft of late injuries.
