Sean Lamont will be joined by brother Rory at Murrayfield |
Rory Lamont will win his first Scotland cap in Sunday's Six Nations match against Wales at Murrayfield. As BBC Sport revealed on Wednesday, the 22-year-old will line up along with older brother Sean on the wings for Matt Williams' side.
Lamont's inclusion at the expense of Simon Webster is the only change from the side that beat Italy.
The elder Lamont has been one of Scotland's best performers in the three tournament matches so far.
"Rory is a young player we've been watching this season and we are impressed with what we've seen," said Williams.
"We've had him in the squad from the beginning of the Six Nations tournament and we just felt it was time for him to step up and take his opportunity.
"We're fortunate to have someone like Rory, and his brother Sean, with their physique, power and pace.
"The roll of winger and fullback has changed dramatically in the last five or six years and our opponents, Wales in particular, all have a strong kicking game.
"So you need powerful and skilful players and Rory will have his chance to show what he can do."
Rory Lamont, a product of Northampton Saints' academy, joined Glasgow, where Sean also plays, in September.
Gordon and Alan Bulloch, and John and Martin Leslie, are the most recent siblings to play in the dark blue of Scotland.
But perhaps the most famous brother pairing, is Gavin and Scott Hastings, who helped Scotland win the Grand Slam in 1990.
