Williams savours Murrayfield test
Rhys Williams scored against Scotland last year
Rhys Williams was delighted to have been handed the Wales No 14 shirt for Sunday's RBS Six Nations match at Murrayfield against Scotland.

Injuries and the form of Dragons pair Hal Luscombe and Kevin Morgan saw Williams drop down the pecking order.

But he played a full part in Wales' comeback against France after coming on as a replacement at half-time.

"I've had my fingers crossed for the last two weeks, but I'm 100% and raring to go," said the 25-year-old.

"It was a big disappointment to pick up a little injury last week, but I'm very confident and looking forward to playing on Sunday.

"I can't wait to get the ball in my hands and if I get the chances to run at the Scots and take people on."

The Blues wing last started a match for Wales in November against Japan, taking the full-back role in a one-sided 98-0 victory in Cardiff.

The most important thing is that we're winning
Rhys Williams

After three impressive wins in this season's Six Nations, there is much talk about a first Grand Slam since 1978 and a first title since 1994, with a home match against Ireland on 19 March being billed as a championship decider.

But Williams, who will win his 42nd cap, warns that Scotland has been a graveyard of other teams' ambitions over the years and must be taken seriously.

"I think this is going to be a huge challenge for us, we all realise how much and how difficult it is going to be to go to Murrayfield and beat them there," Williams added.

"But the self-belief is growing, the confidence is there and the most important thing is that we're winning."
