O'Connor fitness boost for Irish
Johnny O'Connor in action for club side Wasps
Johnny O'Connor should be fit to play against England
Flanker Johnny O'Connor has dispelled worries about his fitness by training with the Ireland squad ahead of the RBS Six Nations match against England.

O'Connor hobbled out of Wasps' win over Northampton with an ankle injury and had been considered a doubtful starter.

However, Denis Leamy is struggling to be fit for Sunday's game at Lansdowne Road and David Wallace of Munster has joined up with the squad as cover.

Leamy picked up a hamstring strain in Munster's game against Glasgow.

There was better news for Ireland on Monday as centres Brian O'Driscoll and Gordon D'Arcy, who missed the win over Scotland due to hamstring injuries, took part in a training session in Dublin.

ODriscoll and DArcy will be assessed further on Wednesday but the Irish management are optimistic both players will be fit to face England.
