Grewcock says kick was accidental
Danny Grewcock
England's Danny Grewcock has defended himself after being sin-binned for kicking Wales' Dwayne Peel in the face during Saturday's Six Nations clash.

The Bath lock has a poor disciplinary record and only last week was investigated for stamping on Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio.

Grewcock said: "I don't aim to pick up yellow cards. It was unfortunate.

"If the ball is at the back of the ruck and I feel I can step over and disrupt it then I will do that."

Last June, Grewcock was banned from rugby for two months for reckless use of a boot in a match against New Zealand.

Six years earlier, also in New Zealand, Grewcock became only the second England player to be sent off in Tests.

However, England skipper Jason Robinson was quick to defend Grewcock following the 11-9 defeat in Cardiff.

Robinson said: "It was accidental, but somebody got caught in the face and he got 10 minutes."
