Scrum V fan profile: England
Throughout the RBS Six Nations Championship users of the Scrum V message boards will be contributing their unique observations about the tournament.

Tim
England fan

I'm obviously a massive England supporter through thick and thin - think mid-1970s here!

I would love England's regeneration after the 2003 World Cup to develop more momentum after the encouragement of the autumn international showing.

This Six Nations is really tough to call - the spice of Lions selections adds a bit of a twist!

Which French team will turn up - will they play like Inspector Clouseau, or Maigret?

Can Wales win enough ball to live up to their fans' expectations and their proud running history - is this Dawn false or will she be trustworthy?

If Ireland avoid injuries to key players - and O'Driscoll stays off the pies - perhaps it's finally their turn, but they are running out of time with this generation of fine talent.

Scotland still have real problems, but hopefully won't have to resort to Brendan Laney, and perhaps if Taylor and other key injured players come back they can cause a few surprises - or maybe not!

I fancy Italy to pull off a shock, as they have done before, but possibly an away win is on the cards - sorry kilted friends.

England are an unknown quantity - they have enough depth to field a quality squad, despite a raft of injuries, which are also now being seen across all squads, but not as high profile as the unfortunate young Jonny - get well soon, your country needs you.

The cohesion that saw them through tough games will be lacking early on and despite sounding disturbingly like Sir Clive Woodward, Andy Robinson is still finding his feet at number one.

So, enough waffling, off the fence; my heart says England, my head says three-way tie - England, France, Ireland, with France on points.
