Charvis loss huge says Wilkinson
Charvis and Wilkinson combine to tackle Taine Randell
Jonny Wilkinson says England will find things easier in their RBS Six Nations clash with Colin Charvis sidelined.

Wales flanker Charvis, like his Newcastle club-mate Wilkinson, will miss the 5 February showdown at the Millennium Stadium because of injury.

"Colin has been a massive addition to Newcastle this season, he's very adept at turning ball over," Wilkinson said.

"I think he's the best in the world at doing that and his loss is a massive blow to Wales."

Despite touring alongside Charvis as part of the 2001 Lions squad that went to Australia, Wilkinson admits it is only now as club-mates that he has come to fully appreciate the former Wales skipper's talents.

"I didn't see much of his game during the 2001 Lions tour, but since he's joined us I've been so impressed by the way he steals ball for us," Wilkinson added.

"That makes us far more dangerous because there's no better ball than turnover ball for attacking."
