Davies says the move to Gloucester has benefited him |
Wales hooker Mefin Davies says he is happy to play for his club the week before the England game. National coach Mike Ruddock wrote to English and French clubs asking for his players to be rested next weekend, but Davies is due to play for Gloucester.
"I'm with Wales to Thursday then back to Kingsholm Friday and hoping to be involved on the weekend," said Davies.
"It's not the players' decision and is out of my hands, but I'm just looking forward to playing."
Newcastle's Colin Charvis is likely to be kept out of club action next weekend by his foot injury.
But Wales' other exiles - Gareth Thomas (Toulouse), Stephen Jones (Clermont Auvergne) and Gareth Llewellyn (Narbonne) - are expected to return to their clubs.

Davies told BBC Sport Wales that he is benefiting from regular top-level rugby in the Zurich Premiership after his transfer from semi-professional Neath RFC. "It's just good to be getting regular games at the top level," said the 32-year-old.
"There are new challenges and new opponents, I'm thoroughly enjoying it."
Davies revealed that he has had to endure banter from his Gloucester team mates ahead of the big 5 February encounter with England.
"They have congratulated me on Wales' performances in the autumn, but said that we didn't beat any of the big guns," added the 24-cap man.
"We have to make sure that we take that next step and win, and I'll be keeping my ears open from some of the boys going to the England camp to try to pick up some tips!"
