New Zealand have called 22-year-old flanker Jerome Kaino into their squad for Saturday's deciding Tri-Nations game with Australia in Auckland. Kaino comes in to the reckoning after Jerry Collins was suspended for striking Jaco van der Westhuyzen in the 31-27 win over South Africa.
New Zealand can win the Tri-Nations if they beat Australia in Auckland.
If the Wallabies claim victory then South Africa will lift the trophy for the second year running.
Kaino was named as the International Rugby Board's under-21 player of the year in 2004.
He toured Europe with the All Blacks last year and although he played against the Barbarians, he has yet to win a Test cap.
Collins has been suspended until 10 September after a judicial panel ruled that his punch was excessive and disproportionate to the threat from the opponent.
Three other players, Dan Carter, Byron Kelleher and Sitiveni Sivivatu, have also been left out of the squad because of injury.
