Aussies call up uncapped quartet
Lloyd Johansson
Johansson is one of four uncapped players called up by Australia
Australia have included four new faces in an expanded 28-man squad for their final Tri-Nations match against New Zealand in Auckland on 3 September.

Prop David Fitter, fly-half Lachlan Mackay, centre Lloyd Johansson and lock Alex Kanaar have all been called up.

Utility back Adam Ashley-Cooper, who made his Test debut as a replacement against South Africa, is included along with reserve scrum-half Matt Henjak.

Twelve players have already been ruled out through injury, with more doubtful.

Lock Daniel Vickerman and number eight David Lyons became the latest casualties on Wednesday - with both facing surgery this week.

Fullback Chris Latham has also definitely been ruled out by a hamstring problem.

Fly-half Stephen Larkham and winger Wendell Sailor will not be fit, while Stirling Mortlock, Jeremy Paul and Mark Gerrard are all doubtful.

Wallabies coach Eddie Jones is also waiting on the availability of replacement fly-half Elton Flatley, who will undergo medical tests after pulling out of Saturday's Tri-Nations match against South Africa because of blurred vision.

Jones said: "The injuries have been well documented over the last week or so but that is rugby.

"It just throws up new opportunities for the team and individual players.

"In a strange way it's quite exciting at the moment.

"Through circumstance we get the opportunity to bring some new and young talent into the squad and I know they are all keen to make the most of their opportunity."

Australia squad: Adam Ashley-Cooper, Al Baxter, Brendon Cannon, Mark Chisholm, Matt Dunning, Rocky Elsom, Scott Fava, David Fitter, Elton Flatley, Mark Gerrard, Matt Giteau, George Gregan, Matt Henjak, Lloyd Johansson, Alex Kanaar, Lachlan MacKay, Drew Mitchell, Stephen Moore, Clyde Rathbone, John Roe, Mat Rogers, Nathan Sharpe, George Smith, Lote Tuqiri, Morgan Turinui, Phil Waugh, Chris Whitaker, Bill Young.
