Johnson's japes amuse All Blacks
Wales skills coach Scott Johnson
Scott Johnson has apologised for his description of New Zealand as a "poxy little island" in a way to make his fellow Australians proud.

"After an overheard conversation that was meant to be kept private, I do make an apology," said the Wales skills coach at a media conference.

"I wasn't misquoted, I got it slightly wrong - in fact, it's two islands!"

All Blacks coach Graham Henry described his friend and ex-Wales assistant Johnson as "comical as usual."

With the New Zealand media in hysterics at Johnson's statement, the popular Aussie removed his Wales tracksuit top to reveal a black T-shirt with "Kiwi target practice" and a bullseye emblazoned on the front.

On the back, the T-shirt read: "I love Kiwis - when they are in New Zealand".
