England forward Martin Corry expects a "hell of a battle" as he prepares to face South Africa's "brilliant" back row at Twickenham next Saturday. "If you look at form players, I don't think there is a better player in the world than Schalk Burger at the minute," Corry told BBC Sport.
"He has got a very similar style to Lewis Moody," the number eight added.
"So I think that for the first 20 minutes they are going to be like rutting stags."
Corry, one of England's stand-out forwards in the 70-0 rout of Canada on Saturday, will have Joe van Niekerk as his direct opponent.
"He has had a few problems with injury but he is back to his best now and poses a huge problem, especially with his pick-ups from the base of the scrum," Corry added.
"He and Burger are top quality players and it is going to be a hell of a battle that will be worth the entrance fee alone." Corry, chosen by new coach Andy Robinson to fill the void left by retired former captain Lawrence Dallaglio, impressed with his lineout play and drives off the base of the scrum.
"We won the game comfortably and the backs finished off some great moves," he said.
"But as a forward there is a huge amount of frustration with the ball we spilled in and around the contact area, and the amount we turned over.
"I didn't think our driving play around the fringes was as effective as it should be and the line-out was not as crisp as we wanted.
"But these things are very easy to sort out once you have had a game under your belts.
But the Leicester forward was far from satisfied with his pack's overall performance.

"Perhaps we were a bit over-zealous at times but that will be different next week." Corry is in no doubt as to the level of improvement required if England are to maintain their early momentum under Robinson against the Tri-Nations champions.
"What has happened to South Africa recently has been pretty close to revolutionary, the way they have changed," he said.
"They are a completely different side under Jake White and we can't afford to make the same mistakes as we made against Canada as they will kill us.
"They are well into their tour now so there will be no rustiness on their part. It should be a classic encounter."
